Andrew Davis

I stand up systems and keep them running reliably.

Cloud, networks, automation — and a home lab that never quite shuts down even if its only a raspberrypi.

I'm based in the Dayton area and have spent most of my career in the spaces between servers, networks, and the scripts that glue them together. I like ownership, clean automation, and making complex infrastructure feel a little more human. Outside of work you'll find me on Metro Parks trails, tinkering with 3D printers over WireGuard, or spinning up another VM to learn something new.

Projects & chapters

Not a résumé dump — a handful of things I built, ran, or shaped over the years.

2019 — now

Azure & remote network access

Vinebrook Homes

Designed BGP routing between remote sites and Azure, tightened security groups and firewall rules, and kept Windows, Linux, and cloud identity working as one system.

Property docs at scale

Vinebrook Homes

Custom Box API tooling to pull lease and title documents across roughly ten thousand properties — the kind of boring-but-critical automation that saves teams days of manual work.

Docker security & scanning stack

Vinebrook Homes

Stood up containerized SFTP, Nagios monitoring, and OpenVAS scanning so ops and security share the same operational picture.
